Our guys might be ranked second to last in the ACC, but it was worth sitting through last night's horrendous loss to see the Duke men's team in person. I sat about twelve rows up from midcourt, watched Coach K work his magic, and saw Sean Singletary (UVa) make some pretty incredible plays. This is the life. Although it is spring break for students here, JPJ was packed and drew lots of loyal UVa and Duke fans. We won't make it to the NCAA tournament this year, but it has been a fun season and I'm so excited to be able to see some great college basketball in action.

Speaking of NCAA tournaments, the women do have a shot at winning the ACC championship and heading off to the first bracket of 64 teams. I saw them beat Georgia Tech in double overtime last weekend as they played their last scheduled home game and sent off seniors Shawnee Zoll and Tara McKnight. They were amazing. And Debbie Ryan, who I met at a basketball camp when I was 13, is in her 31st season of coaching this team. She is a cancer survivor, a hall of fame coach, and a Charlottesville legend.
