One of my favorites has left E&Y as well as a legacy of good humor and quotes that should be chisled into stone for preservation. The team put together a "greatest hits list," if you will, that deserve to be shared with the rest of the free world. Well, he would say with the whole world. Here are the highlights:

“Did you forget to shave this morning?”
"There is a razor and some shaving cream in my desk drawer"

"Do you have your sportscup on, we're meeting Jane today"

“I have one important piece of advice for new staff… wear wool slacks. NO DOCKERS”

"Nice phone, pearls are for girls"

“Always go for the low-hanging fruit.”

“If you’re work papers are no good, maybe you’re no good.”

“Don’t tell me how rough the seas are; just get the boat to the dock.”

“Why can’t we find people who will take the ball to the hoop?”

“The report better be SILKEN PROSE"

"I don't need a SAS70 scoping tool. Your brain is your tool. . ."

"If you keep feeding the alligators, eventually, they will eat you"

On unmarried BYU Grads: "What's a matter with you? What did you do wrong? You failed at BYU."

"I'm above the details now. I'm a big picture man. You're a little picture man."

On corporate structure: “My kids have a Dr. Seuss book about bees… There is one bee doing all the work and a line of bee-watchers making sure he’s working.”

“All leads must go through the Sales Prevention Committee”

"I don't make the rules, I just enforce them. But sometimes I make them too. The rules are subject to change without notice."

"Go hide in the bathroom for the rest of the afternoon."

“You are charging that conversation to vacation, right?”

"That management book you recommended to me was a 150 dollar school text book"
"That is the price you pay for quality"
